HTIA joined with the Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA) to submit comments to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on March 24, supporting the agency's proposed updates to the General Requirements Bulletin. The comment letter states that "[t]hese changes will improve the fairness of the eligibility requirements, increase the efficiency of operations at the USPTO’s Office of Enrollment and Discipline and – perhaps more importantly – will represent a small step toward making both the patent bar and the U.S. innovation ecosystem more inclusive."
